United Underworld

Here are some images from World Book Day, last week. As an admirer of Frank Gorshin's performances, it's long been an ambition of mine to emulate him.

As you may have gathered, the theme of this lunchtime session was graphic novels. I couldn't choose just one, so decided to talk about my first -  Marvel's New Mutants- and one I consider chronologically among the first- Lee and Kirby's 70s sci-fi opus The Silver Surfer.

Among the choices of my colleagues were V for Vendetta,  White Tiger: A Hero's Compulsion and Drama.
