Here's the last Micro-Heroes post for this weekend. I've been mixing and matching Marvel and DC superheroes to try and produce the kind of line-ups I'd like to read about in the funny pages...

If I Ran Heroes for Hire: My inspiration would be Gail Simone's Birds of Prey and Chris Claremont's Bronze Age scripts, around or before X-Men. The Marvel Universe's A-Team, Knightwing Restorations take on metahuman assignments as a registered charity. It's the Avengers meets Quentin Tarantino.

 Occult expert Satana and extradimensional bounty hunter, er, Bounty

 Future allies: Black Cat, thief and thrillseeker. Ex-SHIELD agent Mockingbird

The kind of villains this Grindcore team might encounter could include:

 Deadly Nightshade; nihilist Madame Hydra; and the Witch Queen of New Orleans.

 Meanwhile, in the DCU...
Having reworked the JLA, the JSA, the LSH and the Outsiders, I thought it was about time the junior partners and sidekicks were examined.  If I Ran the Teen Titans: following the model established by Geoff Johns, the team would function as a training ground for young super heroes, with three mentors-

 My female Robin would be a "buddy"- she's had the best training already- to these two guys:

 and over time, three more novices would attend Titans Tower:

 Raven, Miss Martian and Argent

 

There are guest-stars from A-Z

 The Titans are called upon to help other troubled teens:

 Telekinetic Spy Kid Danny Chase; Gnarrk; and Azrael

 including the self-styled Terror Titans:

 Jericho, Batgirl, Power Boy

 Joker's Daughter, Riddler's Daughter and Sun Girl

  ...and, as the old saw goes, you can choose your friends but you can't choose your family!

 Don't underestimate the power of organized religion, like the Church of Blood:

 Plus: where do superhumans get their costumes? Ask the Mad Mod! Yeah, baby!

Finally... If I Ran Justice League Unlimited: an all-ages alternative to the dark, urban, gritty team of my last post. Here it is, a colourful hopefully kid-friendly take on a classic.
